A PLANNING utility for a taking pictures vary close to Samye Ling monastery has been taken to enchantment.
Retrospective permission for the already-completed improvement was first submitted by Eskdalemuir Forestry and George Birrell in February 2021, sparking a fierce backlash.
Widespread objection to the plans adopted from native residents, monks at Samye Ling – and greater than 20,000 individuals who signed a petition calling for the appliance to be refused.
In April planning officers at Dumfries and Galloway Council dominated that plans for the taking pictures vary at Clarkhill Farm in Eskdalemuir, simply two miles from the sacred Tibetan centre, constituted a significant improvement versus a neighborhood one.
The ruling meant a brand new utility must be lodged with the Scottish Authorities and plans could be underneath nearer scrutiny.
Now the candidates have filed an enchantment with the federal government’s planning and environmental appeals division in a bid to have the council’s choice overturned.
They declare to have “compelling authorized arguments as to why the planning utility was and stays an utility for native improvement”.
The enchantment was formally registered this week and the council’s planning division has been requested for a response.
